I must have been asleep
Apr. 29th, 2015 08:42 pmToday was flu shot day so I trekked into work to get it. It's not a work day but this is a good thing, since I react interestingly to the flu shot. My brain goes all fuzzy, as it does for various reasons, and I find myself struggling to remember things, such as the name of my residential street when I had to say it to Medicare, my next port of call.
I went home after that and decided to take a nap. Woke up some four hours later. They could make that shot into pills and use it for insomnia, or maybe it's just me. Nobody at work seems to even notice any effects. This means that my most active phase was evening, when I filled up the bin with garden waste before taking it to the verge and cleaning out the rat palaces. Nothing decent on television - what a surprise - and watching the news was a mistake.
I "tidied" up FB, unfollowing some of the people who get overly political and also the pet rat group, which ran a thread I found intensely triggering and unnecessary. A couple of folk also tend to be a bit trollish when faced with (often new) members who are ignorant of things rat and I decided I was tired of it. Time to move on. In further personal rat news, I'm glad to report that my boy Cade, who had a bout of mycoplasmosis recently, has responded well to the antibiotics, which he'll be on for awhile. I hide medicine in infant soy formula, which rats like so much that I have to give an unspiked dish of it to Cade's brother Winston to keep him out of Cade's dish.
Tomorrow I will finally take Rocket the e-bike in to get his puncture fixed and maybe also to inquire on getting him hyped up, now that e-bikes are allowed to be more powerful, i.e. 250 instead of 200 (the unit of measurement eludes me, I'm still foggy as hell).
