Saturday Night With The Rats
Mar. 16th, 2013 11:18 pmI've discovered that my humane mouse-catching traps can catch cockroaches! Thought I had a small mouse; then looked inside and saw a large and irate roach. I find that fairly impressive; that the trap is that precise. It later caught a second roach. Well, partially. It looked like the roach had tried to back out and been caught halfway. The antennae were still waving SOS and I don't think it was actually hurt, but it couldn't leave until I took the trap outside and opened it up.
One can assume by this news that nothing of great moment has been happening. That's okay. After last weekend's stressful interaction with M, I needed some downtime. Work has also been heavy this week; heavy enough that they ignored their no-overtime rule and said go for it. So that's why most of this morning was spent sleeping. I did go to the gym after that and do my food shop, housework etcetera.
Tv was not inspiring this evening; I had either seen the movies or shows or wasn't interested in them, but I let the box burble on while I was doing rat room service.
I'm not doing the fan thing with any show right now, except maybe The Walking Dead which I watch online. If it ever does come on free TV here, it'll either be cut to ribbons or be shown so late that I can't stay awake for it. I also found a site where I could watch Warehouse 13. But I'm not part of any online forum or community the way I used to be for Babylon 5,Buffy and the various Star Treks before that. Not sure why that is, just that my focus seems to have moved away from that. I enjoyed Once Upon a Time when it was on but am content to wait for it to show up again in the channel's own time.
