Brolly day

Lots of rain again today which is great. I haven't needed to water the garden since Saturday. It's my late start day today so I'm still at home having another mug of tea before I head off. Working Thurs is less painful than I had feared and the money is certainly welcome. I should be able to save my airfare to San Antonio without too much pain. Some pain, because they seem to be quite a bit more than four years ago.

I've calmed down a bit since the weekend, though M tried to phone me yesterday, much too soon. If I'm left to settle, I'm generally ok, but M does not realise this despite all those years living in the same house. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a whole family living in the same city, whom I got on with reasonably well, rather than only M, meaning I'm her entire focus when she's got nothing else to keep her busy. My brother got out in his teens and I can't blame him, though we don't have anything in common. He now lives at the safe distance of South Australia, which takes about five hours to get to by plane from here. Not including several hours in Adelaide, usually.

No plans for the weekend. I'll survive. And now I had better go to work.
