Cuteness Overload
Apr. 29th, 2010 09:49 pmThis is the first day I've felt reasonably ok since the weekend, and more of a relief than usual to have a day off. Since my interest in food has returned, I needed to go get some. My bike's trailer is off the road right now thanks to an accident involving bulky groceries, a fairly steep path (paved), twisting around and metal sort of snapping. So shopping trips right now involve a somewhat unwieldy bicycle with me trying to balance bags and steer.
Picture this contraption approaching two guys on the footpath with a small white creature behind them. Their dog, one supposes. I climbed down, rather than risk losing balance and veering right into them...and found myself faced with a lamb, no lead or anything, trotting quite calmly along. This was just too cute.
"She's got celebrity disease," one owner explained, urging the lamb to come say hello. "So she's become rather rude."
The lamb certainly seemed to accept pats and fuss in her stride and then departed behind her people as confidently as she'd arrived.
