Your bad planning is not my emergency
Sep. 4th, 2022 04:49 pmThe phone did start to charge after about 24 hours but now it says it doesn't have a SIM card. I spent a few hours trying to figure out how I could move an app from it to my computer so I don't have to set it up again for work. I think that was more painful than repeating the setup and haven't really gotten anywhere there.
The phone has a message running that only emergency calls are permitted because of the no card. Interesting; I didn't know they did that. I don't think that means Uber Eats or Door Dash.
Not much else is happening. It's Father's Day but since mine died in 1975 [and also I am aged], that's not a thing. Walked around and got some exercise and returned The Kaiju Preservation Society (John Scalzi) to the library. In his afterword, Scalzi writes that this is not the serious book he had meant to write. 2020 happened to that book. Oh, I can relate to that!
