Swancon is over
Apr. 2nd, 2018 02:27 pmWell, for me it is, though the closing ceremony is still a couple of hours away. I was dead tired this morning, even though I got some decent sleep, so decided I would head home...and get some more sleep! This I did, and I'm glad I didn't wait longer before starting the journey.
My feelings about this con are rather mixed and I'll blog more about it when I'm fully awake. As always, I did manage to meet up with a lot of people I knew, but interaction was fairly limited. There was unfortunately nowhere to sit down and chat to folks, unless you were in the gaming area. That was the main lack, I think. I don't mean a "quiet area" which I think were up on another level of the hotel, just somewhere with comfortable seats near the main action. I think my fatigue today is why that's first on my mind.
This was my 37th Swancon. I wish I'd been more awake for the panel on the early Swancons, but I had to leave and go to bed while I could still navigate.
