Wrat Wrevolt and other events

I'm afraid it all went pear-shaped on Friday morning and the rat detente was no more. I heard horrible screams and had to pull Winston off Barnaby and chuck him out on to the couch, then return him and his brother Cade to their own place. I'm considering pet-shaming Winston by writing a sign for him and putting the picture on Facebook: I AM A BIG RAT THUG AND I PICK ON LITTLE RATS WITH DISABILITIES! Poor Barnaby. Not only is he half Winston's size but he is completely harmless, at the bottom of the cage hierarchy, and has a head tilt from an infection, though the good news there is that it's less severe than it was and he looks to have recovered his balance, after two weeks on antibiotics.
So yeah, sharing with Raff, Dario and Barnaby is not going to work. I think basically Winston and Cade don't want to share. They like having a place to themselves and they don't want any other rat but one another.
Stuff keeps falling apart around this house. The wooden door to the bathroom has to be lifted at the same time as it is pushed open because it scrapes along the floor otherwise. Back door similar. Now the shower won't stop leaking. That one I'm going to get fixed asap; it drives me nuts when I'm in earshot and it's losing a lot of water. There's also been a mouse population explosion here and now officially constitutes a plague, so I'm afraid something terminal is going to have to be done about them. I spent way too long sweeping up mouse crap from all over the house and am officially sick of it.
I spent a bit of time after work on Friday getting a few items for my costume for the Disney party at the Court Hotel. Have decided to go as a pirate, one of Captain Hook's crew. My workmate Anna is going as Jaffar (the alternate universe female version). She said she was thinking of going as Jasmine, but that our other workmate Luke was going to wear a Jasmine costume and he would probably do it better. Luke, if you're reading this, that is a serious worry and I must see it. You guys have definitely made the office an infinitely more interesting and fun place, which is something I never thought I would say.
This weekend I don't expect much to happen. I did the aforementioned housework and sweeping of mouse crap and a food shop. I really need to spend less on food; I'm sure I could. Every fortnight I resolve to spend less money and something always crops up.
Nothing much on TV so I'm letting the Eurovision Song Contest play in the background. I've got the DVD of Captain America - the Winter Soldier here so will probably watch that when I finish rambling here. Supernatural's finale was this week (on our TV next Monday) so that's it for stuff I watch. ( possible spoilers )
