winter is here
Jul. 6th, 2013 11:37 amLive Journal is not speaking to me at the moment, but I'll see if crossposting works. I've been unable to get rid of a persistent error message about a script on the page causing it to run slowly. Professional help has been sought; in the meantime I'll leave it alone and hope the rest of the computer keeps working for the next few days.
You know, sometimes I kind of miss the world before computers. Yes, I'm old enough to remember it. It was easier to keep up with.
The weather is now frigging cold in Perth (stop laughing, Ankh_hpl) so I'm trying to build up the willpower to head to the gym, where I'll at least get temporarily warm. At the moment I'm in jeans, polar fleece hoodie and the original ventilated bathrobe, which can't be seen in public. Inside it's only about 11^C at nearly midday. I need to do the house cleaning up as well. Since I demolished the grassy knoll in the back yard (legacy of the landlord's heap of sand that he thought he might use "someday"), I keep tracking sand and other garden mess over the floorboards. The rats also chuck the contents of their litter trays out on to the floor to add to the excitement.
I've noticed that several of my friends are overseas right now and posting about their adventures. Lucky buggers. My turn soooon.
