SWANCON DAY 1
Mar. 29th, 2013 08:46 pmSwancon is happening at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Northbridge. I made it there for a couple of hours this morning but had to leave much earlier than intended due to onset of gut and headache. Yes, that. So, nothing infectious, but it puts me out of action for at least a day. So I went to the opening ceremony, caught up with quite a few people and then watched Msquared and Matt L get their heads shaved to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation, after which I began to feel unwell and realised that would have to be it for today.
I had meant to attend some stuff, notably the LBGTI panel as I felt I could contribute. So I will have to locate the panelists at some point if I can find out who they were, and maybe buy them a drink while they repeat themselves? As always when I don't book a room at a con, I'm a bit sorry about that but need to save $ right now.
Still, I'm sure my rats were happy to have me back as it meant dinner was on time and they're having their usual free time on the furniture. I watched a Big Bang Theory I hadn't seen and will have an early night.
