Sunday gardening

I rode Rocket to Better Pets and Gardens today, mostly to check out their plants and get another food dish for one of my rat groups. I've been looking for some more of these chorizema cordatums for out front; they're WA natives but I haven't spotted any at a nursery for awhile. So when I saw these, I decided to get all four that the nursery had. They'll provide a bit of colour in what's ended up as a lot of white-flowering plants.
Sundays here can be rather flat, so riding to the nursery (6 kilometres all up) and doing the gardening helped to fill in a few hours and shake up my brain. I'm on the countdown to my long service leave holiday, which starts on 22 September. I'm going to Canberra to attend Conflux and Floriade and visit the War Memorial and then do some dedicated slacking off. Hanging on to that thought, peeps, as another Monday rolls around.
