Yes, things are quietening riiight down again. I'm missing Swancon. Well, not the crowds and the fatigue so much as being able to find like-minded people to chat to, or play a game and so on. I think the Pan Pacific was a good venue; I liked having everything all on the one floor, with plenty of space to sit down and chat, as well as a separate gaming room from said chat space.

Some good news is it looks like my prescription sunglasses got handed in. At least from the pic, that certainly looks like them and I'll know the moment I put them on.

Apart from that, I spent Tuesday recovering and on Wednesday evening met Leece, Rob, Paul and Carl (or Karl) at Zapata's Mexican Restaurant, followed by games at Myriade gaming cafe. So I guess it couldn't be said that I'm suffering [cue the violins] but life has gone back to mostly isolation and I can feel my convention-hyped mood fading. I'm back to having conversations with the rats, who pay rapt attention but contribute only eeks. One or two of them seriously wanted to be cuddled while they complained about the severe neglect over Easter.

I've got the rest of this week off work and am trying to get some author stuff done. Posted the notes from my panel. Got together bio-and-awards info in response to a request. Am prepping a story, already finished but needing editing, to go out. Began another story that's been bubbling in my head for some time. Did belated housework and watering of garden.

At the con I started thinking about maybe going to Continuum, this year's Natcon, in Melbourne this June, probably as a way to psychologically keep my mood up, with the thought of another fix in the not-too-distant future. I haven't ruled it out yet, but financially it would be difficult, so I'll have to see if finances improve over the next few weeks.
