Feeling sick, annoyed and ready to strangle the neighbour's dog. Don't worry, won't do it, but geez, I'd like to. It yaps constantly. Then inside, I've got warring rats. It's possible that they're arguing between cages, setting one another off, which is why the two elderly gents were fighting yesterday and the day before. I'd moved them into their own retirement home so that Elliott wouldn't pick fights with Oliver, who won't back down even though it's a really bad idea for him not to!
A lot of rat-speak is at an auditory level humans don't hear - and thank the gods for that - so there's probably quite a bit going on of which I'm not aware. So Elliott could be yelling at Oliver, who is then taking it out on Magnus, just because he's there. Then over the way, Rolf is picking on Jonas and Fred, the runt, is diving for cover, after *he* probably set Rolf off in the first place.
I just finished reading a book about the ancient bond between humans and animals, which claimed amongst other things that pets are supposed to be good for our health and decrease our stress.
