Finished Nano. Sleep now.
Nov. 23rd, 2010 10:05 pmSingle Spies, the nano novel, is all done. I've hit my 50,000 and a bit over and am now going to leave it to gel in my mind for awhile. I do have plans for this story, but gods, it needs some editing! Also a few name changes from names I borrowed without permission :-)
No zombies were harmed in the creation of this story.
Now need to:
Do the copy-edits for Paper Dragons, one of the stories in my upcoming Twelfth Planet collection, Nightsiders.
Cut the lawns, mulch and weed. Guess what didn't get done while I was doing Nano and caring for my very ill rat, Charles Wallace?
[CW has renal failure but is now on oral medication which is making him feel better]
Do some blogging, including some 1920s-style journal writing in the persona of my COC character, Amy Wells.
Food shop and clean my house. Guess what *else* didn't get done while I was doing Nano and surviving a transcription meltdown in the gulag?
I'm thinking of offering the Nano story for people to read but don't think I quite have the nerve until it gets that edit!
