I decided I needed another way to waste time, so have got myself a Twitter account under the name Ratfan. Now I need some people to twitter at, preferably not the two complete strangers who started "following" me within seconds! Looks like there are types who just follow everybody...

At that point, all they could know about me was that I (presumably) had a pulse :-) Sorry. It's all this vampire fiction I seem to be unable to avoid. I'm reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare at the moment which I'm enjoying a lot, even though it too contains vampires.

Nothing new on the exercise plan, except for biking over to friend's place to feed their rodent crew while they're away this weekend. Going to go to Midland Markets tomorrow for some fruit and veg and see if I can pick up some more broccoli seedlings and some broad beans. Then I just have to barricade them away from Esmeralda and her clan. There's even a market garden up the road, but the local wild rats seem to prefer my place :-)

Here are my revised notes for the panel I did with Leece Smith and Theresa Anns at Swancon, where we talked about the books we'd read as children and why they were still special for us. The panel was at the unearthly hour of 9am - why, oh why, do conventions still schedule panels at this time?! - so I'm sure a lot of people who might have liked to come were in bed, doing better things. Like sleep :-)

So I thought the discussion might well be continued on LJ and perhaps also people will contribute their favourite books. Some did so at the panel and I really should've written them down. See above for possible reasons why not.
