Earth Hour
Mar. 29th, 2008 08:55 pmI just finished observing Earth Hour, which meant switching off all the electrical stuff and setting up two candles out of rat reach.
Earlier I read a lot of the "for" and "against" views. I'm most closely aligned with the view which says yes, it's a symbol and probably does not do much that's actually useful but a symbol is a beginning. Maybe the govt and big companies will realise they don't need to keep those big buildings lit all night? Maybe people will realise the whole house doesn't need to be lit for a couple of people watching tv?( More Thoughts of the Darkness )
