I'm not mad . . .

...the earth did shake!

At least, I really did feel a wavelike ripple under my house this morning. Half asleep, I thought, "Something must've walked under my house and pushed against the floor..." More alert, I decided it would have had to be a tiger rather than a housecat. Then.... "An earthquake? Here? Right after that theological discussion with the JWs on whether Jehovah is responsible for natural disasters? They've set him on me..."

It was an intense relief to logon and find we really have had one. Rather, the Wheatbelt has and Perth got the edge of it, some 140km away. 4.8 Richter Scale, which is quite impressive for this part of the world. It certainly rattled my house and when I went to check the dodgy stumps under the house, I think they've moved a bit! Don (landlord and friend) has promised to deal with them. I might have to ask him to move the priority up a bit.

That's my excitement for today. Return to normal programming. I'm quite tired for some reason but promise to do some writing today and posting in answer to questions I got asked about my story in Shiny.

Around that, yes. Maybe you had to be close to the floor? I was on my futon.
