Flu
Yes, I have flu. Or I have something which matches some of the symptoms, which I guess could explain my bleh feelings of the last few days! Lethargy, shivery/achy feelings, fuzzed head (more than usual), sore throat.
So if anyone was planning to visit, note the large X on the front door and stay clear.
I thought it was just Mondayitis to start with so I went to work but only lasted a couple of hours. If you want the experience of feeling totally unwanted, try standing in front of your supervisor and listing your symptoms while co-workers say, "I think I'll go this way," and walk the longest way around you they can. I feel guilty about exposing them to it but hey, if I'd felt like 11am at 7am, I wouldn't have gone in. If that makes any sense... So I took my bugs out of there and went home, which felt like a really long walk this time, through grey, windy weather threatening to rain again. Going back to bed felt really good and I got some sleep. Don't usually do that in the winter - sleep during the day, I mean. It's helped some but the symptoms haven't gone away. It's not really severe. I've had the knock-you-down kind of flu and this isn't it. I wouldn't be able to post with tolerable clarity if it was, though tomorrow, of course, may be a different story!

I'm better but my head aches when I exert myself, as when walking to the clothesline and back again. Also when I read, which is a pain. I'm okay enough to be really bored and not okay enough to do anything interesting!

If you need cans of soup left at the front door, or some other kind of practical support, let me know.

I'd prescribe a large tub of icecream for the novel rejection.

No flu here(good), but thyroid pills have given me: headaches, blurry vision(clearing up now), itches, and also an unmentionable itch. Nice.
