Housework

Is anyone I know locally recording the lovely Dr House? I've had to choose between it and Heroes. After weeks of nothing, the 7 and 10 networks have put 'em both on at the same time!

I'm probably missing something basic [as I tend to do with things electronic] but when I have my VCR set to record, I'm unable to access any other channel manually on the Tv. So I figure if some kind person [[livejournal.com profile] cheshirenoir?] has House recorded, I could maybe come watch sometime in the future?

It's annoying because I've just been selected as a ratings person and will have a black box installed to record what I watch. [They've promised me that's all it will record and of course I believe them!] So I can't give House my vote unless I sort of switch back and forth between the shows.

Ah, good, a ratings person with some taste and intelligence!

I felt I had to do my bit against sports and reality tv.

Does the thing register if you're taping rather than watching? Of course, I could just turn the tv on low and go to bed...

I taped it...

...but taped over it with Smallville, and Battlestar Gallactica Monday morning.

Not a bad show for teh start of teh 3rd season. I haven't watched Heroes yet - something to do with super heroes?

well, at least you taped something decent over it :-) I don't follow Smallville anymore but always watch Battlestar. This last story with the Cylons was very odd, seemed out of character for the series if that makes sense but also completely necessary.
