I think I was finally in the right place when I saved the link. Hopefully. It's got the number at the end! I still have time to read a couple more. I may not have counted some rereads this time and I know I did for 2019.
I will aim to read 100 books for the first time next year and have added a special category for what I manage to read while I'm on leave. Happy to take recs. Last year (already thinking of 2020 as past/last) was heavy on the dystopia and postapocalypse.

Interesting mix of books there. I was a bit bemused looking through the first half, as we apparently had no overlaps! But then there was a Jodi Taylor, a Seanan Maguire (or two?), two Martha Wells, and some others I've already forgotten. A couple there that I've gone to sticky beak at and added to my to read wishlist.

There's more overlap than it looks like, in that I read Doomsday Book when it came out and the Raven Tower last year, I think. I didn't note a lot of rereads this year either. Have marked one or two of yours to read.

Did I rec you this yet? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deaths-White-Hands-Aegis-Immemorial-ebook/dp/B07GTT11PH Mate's book, I'm not huge on fantasy but I really enjoyed this one. He's done some free short stories in the same universe you can check out to see if you like the style.
Also, do you read young adult/kids books? Because another mate has written books about pirate rats and they're very good and I think you might like, for obvious reasons. (She's also written a Victorian adventure smut romp which is very entertaining too, but idk if that's really your bag!)
I swear I don't just recc my mates books, they're just the only ones I've actually read recently... (I also read 'Thin Air' by Michelle Paver a while back and loved it, but I'd rather recc indies tbh!)
