Trains House
I went for a walk to locate the property on my list that's closest to me. It wasn't easy to find; it's one of two villas tucked behind a larger house - townhouse block, I think - and at first I thought they were garages for that house. The photo doesn't show this at all; it makes it look open to the street. Not that this is a problem, tho, there's an access driveway and the fact it's tucked away is a plus IMO. The rest of it looked pretty much as advertised, though it'd have to be shade plants at the front due to the whacking big wall of the front-facing two storey place.
Plus - it's close to the train station. Minus - it's close to the train station. Like over the road close. Ditto a bottle shop one way and a coffee place the other. So there'd be more two-legged traffic. The rent, which is not at all bad, probably reflects this. It's a two bedroom, but even so is not big, which would discourage some folks but again, not me. Also it says "small pet considered" so I just have to convince them that four tiny rats in a cage equals small pet. I had to knock that over-55s place off the list because I hadn't noticed it said no pets, in one of the "click on this to read more" bits. Bummer.
I put a query in on the Trains House but haven't heard back yet, not unexpected given time of year.
I'm going to try to post more stuff about fannish things I'm into in 2019, but for right now there's going to be a lot of houseporn as I'm having trouble concentrating on anything else till I get this done.
