To follow the poems postings, here's one that's been running through my head on and off since all the fuss about Mark Latham's book. For those outside Australia, he's a disgruntled and vindictive ex-politician who recently published his Diaries which attacked all whom he'd ever had dealings with, most particularly his own side which made him leader. Briefly.

This is an excerpt from Rudyard Kipling's "A Servant When He Reigneth":

"Because he served a master
before his kingship came
And hid in all disaster
behind his master's name
So when his folly opens
unnecessary hells
A servant when he reigneth
puts the blame on someone else!"

LOL! That's the best comment on the whole mess I've heard since Clarke and Dawe's:

INTERVIEWER: Mr Latham, when did you first realise they were all against you?

MARK LATHAM: When they made me leader of the Labor Party.
