no zombies, only fellow commuters

I've had a chat with the Letters Editor of the West Australian newspaper this morning. It was a lesson on how folk can operate on vastly different time-streams in the same world. I got their email asking me to confirm details by phone on Friday when I got home, 7 pm. I did so a short while ago this morning. "Hm, it's a bit late. We got that letter last Wednesday...."

So it could get printed. Maybe. He'll see what he can do.

What's the subject?

A reply to an article that appeared last week, claiming the anti shark cull protesters only cared about sharks. I'll post it here once I know whether it's in the paper or not. I didn't want my name on it, since my last name is distinctive enough to lead hasslers straight to my door.

Letters editors can be weird. I remember one from The Bulletin calling me to confirm who I was - I have an even more distinctive surname than yours -and then telling me they weren't publishing my letter anyway. It was in response to the crap they HAD published in the letters column, declaring that Jews were dupes of Satan. No, Bulletin, I don't miss you at all. A hundred years and still racist!
