sunday report
Sunday afternoon, overcast and very windy. There are rumours of rain in Fremantle, nothing here yet, but it's very humid. We can hope.
I'm a little bit bleh, probably more dopy as I had a nap earlier and got woken by my friends and landlords here to say "hi." That was literally about it :-) I have taken advantage of the cooler temperatures to do some gardening, which was mostly raking leaves and sticks into large piles. I'll have to get rid of them bin-load by bin-load. My shed is already full and the garden waste collection does not happen until May. Still, everything looks tidier. I have done a bit of writing today also but am still worried that the thing is crap.
The grape vine next door is producing like mad, but mostly high in my biggest peppermint eucalypt. I can reach some of them with a long pole. A lot have fallen to the ground, where they're quietly fermenting. I imagine most of the mice I release are now staggering around with their tiny minds absolutely blasted. Hopefully this means they will forget the way into my house.
I'm working an extra day, or most of one, to make some much needed $. I'm doing all right though I've noticed I am more tired. Will not complain as I know friends who have to do full time jobs. I try to make use of the day off; i.e. grocery shopping, writing, vet visits where required. Mostly all I do on the late-start Thursday is sleep in a bit as I'm out drinking and carousing on the town most Wednesday nights - sorry, I mean gaming in an alternate-worlds GURPS (zombie apocalypse and Nazis).
I'm sure there's something incredibly profound I meant to write about but if so, it has left me. Several people on my flist have written some interesting posts lately and I have not commented. Others have written stuff about various fandoms and I haven't commented, but that's because I don't know the shows and I can't! But I read everything, I swear I do. Oh well, ironing tonight, Elementary which after two episodes I'm rather enjoying, and prep for work tomorrow.
