Jabs and Stabs

The last half of May and first half of June are hereby designated Pincushion Month or the conjunction of the needles.  It's like that time of the year when all the bills drop on you in the same week.

I've already had a doc-ordered blood test.  Coming up next week are the Reandron shot and the company-provided flu shot.  The last one will be my first COVID shot.  I was going to go to the airport centre (closer) but for reasons unknown they're only giving second shots there.  So it's got to be the Showgrounds.  Must say, they go through a fairly alarming "have you ever suffered from?"  list of things, with the comforting proviso from the details-taker that if you've never heard of it, you probably haven't got it.

I used to be scared of needles, up into the not very distant past, until I realised that I wanted the transition more than I was afraid and would have to get over that.  Which is when I learned that one could rewire one's own mind.
