Doom Patrol to Brexit
Aug. 28th, 2019 10:34 pmOne episode to go on Doom Patrol, and I have just heard the Best Threat Ever:
"You give us answers or I give you bananas. One at a time up your ass. Peels on!"
Seriously, I needed that right now. The laugh. Not the bananas, which the character speaking had grabbed from the other character's shopping bag :-)
In other news, English politics are getting seriously strange. I had to look up the word "prorogue" as I had never heard it and discovered it means the suspension of Parliament without Parliament being dissolved. Essentially they do it when they go into recess but what Boris Johnson seems to be planning is not a normal recess but to prevent more arguing as he rushes no-deal Brexit into being. Now I read about the Opposition leader wanting to go talk to the Queen to say "don't let him do this!" and proposals to conduct a sit-in within the House.
I'm sure HM will not make a similar banana-featured threat, but geez, I'd like to be some tiny six-legged creature within the ancient walls of the palace to hear what she does say :-)
