Water falls from the sky!
Apr. 14th, 2019 04:04 pmI'm still somewhat stunned, around 4 pm, that it is raining. Not a few drops but a good steady fall, enough that I have switched off the reticulation. Good that I did outside stuff, like shopping and laundry, yesterday. These days I also deliver groceries to my mother and assist with whatever picking up/shifting kind of thing is required and that's generally on a Saturday. I think this is the first day this year that wet weather was enough to discourage going outside.
I only realised when I read a post of Ariaflame's that WABA [boardgaming club] had been this weekend; Saturday was actually fairly busy as I did not get going early. Perhaps some gaming will be possible on Sunday at Swancon.

I will be visiting Swancon on the Sunday, arriving around an hour and a half after whenever I wake up, I guess. Probably midmorning. Plans are tentatively to meet Fred Mouse and Ariaflame (?) for lunch; heading off to the Freo Markets. If I'm going to go all that way, it'd be a waste not to sample the eateries of Fremantle, which are generally diverse and superior! Since I've got a room for the Sunday night at The Esplanade, I'll also be hoping to meet folk for dinner Somewhere as well. I'm going to stock the rats up with supplies Sunday morning and face the general rodent disapproval when I get home on Monday.
* The icon for this post is the flag of Finland; a country that is no stranger to water falling from its sky, except when it's snow and/or ice.
