general catch up stuff
Apr. 9th, 2016 01:04 pmWoke to rain; excellent news in this often dry corner of the world. Also caught up on sleep and general housework, laundry, next job a food shop. I guess I'm back to accepting ordinary. After some time in convention space, I come home and it feels really flat for awhile. I was also still not feeling quite well. I know the stomach bug could have been a lot worse, but I find the sting in the tail is the fuzzy fatigue which lingers, sometimes for weeks after the initial illness is gone.
I managed an ok week at work with court transcribing. Got a really good quality score, 99.45%, I think it was. They do this accuracy check every three months. If you lost the plot two months in, I'm not sure what would happen. Needed to pick up the pace a little - was very tired on the lead up to Easter and that showed - and I've done that. The jobs have been reasonably interesting and easy to transcribe, which is the important bit!
Won't make it to WABA today, sorry. Maybe the event in town tomorrow. Meanwhile, needed to settle mind and perhaps do a little work now that my immediate environment is cleaned up and I've stopped sneezing from the dust. The weather is starting to turn and I've retrieved some of my winter gear from its hiding place, even if it's not cold enough to wear it yet. Dario and Barnaby are making more elaborate newspaper nests.
