Work gave me a pedometer
Mar. 5th, 2016 05:01 pmThe commissars have decided to have a Health Week. Advice emails, 'activities' and a team thing involving pedometers and scores. I asked the person who'd been put in charge of the walking thing, "Did they tell you why they care if we're healthy?"
"No," she said. "Have they ever done this before?"
"Well," I said, "they had us in a country-wide competition for doing steps and we were beaten by a bank."
I think I was too late to sign up, not being at work on a crucial day and being slack, but I've still got the pedometer and decided I need to work on the flab anyway.
I was in a changeroom in a clothing store last night and they have way too many mirrors. Usually I can ignore it but....yech, not with the delight of a three-way view. I'm doing a mostly daily workout involving crunches and weights but I need to get some heavier weights as mine are too easy now.
How many steps should I be doing per day?
