Okay, I've got Vivitar loaded on comp and the new digital camera plugged in, loaded with a couple of rat pictures - what else would I take pictures of? - but the stupid program says there isn't a camera attached to the USB port. I really don't think that hole can be anything else. The comp has an arrow pointing to the spot for us luddites.

Aarghh. Got a nice pic of Edwin's nose and Jonas wandering around the couch.

The rats and I are holed up with the airconditioner. The world is altogether too hot and I'm tired and achy and brain not working, thanks to doing four days in the gulag this week. Got woken up Thursday morning - I have given them permission to do this if they need to - and barely understood English, but I knew there's no other reason they ring me up then :-)

I just read a book of Robert Heinlein's from 1949 - The Day After Tomorrow - for the first time. He's one of the writers whose work I save, i.e. since they've croaked, there are no more, so I ration my reading of them. Had Things to Say about it but they'll have to wait until I'm awake. I did notice that the main character seemed to be a strong precursor of Hugh Farnham.
