Did I Make This Up?

I was awarded this by satimaflavell. Thank you, I think! Now I understand I am supposed to tell you seven things about myself which you may not know. This puts me in a bit of a bind since, as a versatile blogger, I've already mentioned most of the things I'm willing to have be known. Still, I devoted some brain cells to the exercise while at work the other day and came up with:

1. I can't stand fiction written in present tense, which to me feels affected and distracts me from the story. I have also committed this offence myself.

2. The first sf book I can remember reading was Robert Heinlein's Citizen of the Galaxy when I was 11.

3. I have at various times dressed up as a Klingon, a psicop, a nun, a Spanish dancer, a 15th century noblewoman and a Boy Scout.

4. As a baby I was forcibly taken from my mother and adopted out because she was not married.

5. I hate seafood, unless it is properly served coated in batter, with chips.

6. I prefer music which is my age or older, i.e folk, country, '50s-'70s. Not disco.

7. I have owned exactly one mobile phone, which I bought this year.
