Time for the fuzzy winter bathrobe
May. 13th, 2010 01:56 pmIt be winter. I don't care what the calendar says. 14^C maximum today. I managed to get warm for awhile lugging the pile of branches and clippings in my shed out to the front verge for this weekend's Green Rubbish collection. Well, brown in this case as the pile has been growing for months.
Perth had rain again last night, which is good as the ground had dried out again and I was having to water, almost unheard of this late in the season. The broccoli seedlings are all alive!
I'm preparing for a quiz night tomorrow; checked through the founding dates of all our state capitals, the list of Aussie Prime Ministers - 25 of them - some war dates and a few other things that recur in quizzes. Let's hope there's no sports round. Beyond that, my brain seems to have frozen in neutral. I did some food shopping and have contemplated putting the radish seeds into the ground. Also need some spinach seedlings.
Sometimes it's all too hard.
Later in day. The temp made it to 16^C. Still cold. Mood very bleh now.
