The House of Plague
Aug. 5th, 2009 09:09 amLike half the people in Perth, so far as I can tell, I've caught something. Yesterday was a fuzzy head and sore throat, which I acquired after I turned up at work, so it isn't my fault! Now there's more fuzziness and confusion, such that choosing the next words in a sentence takes more time than usual.
Back to bed asap; just needed to go online to let the tax accountant know I can't get there and also regrets to FP. Had wanted to come along and get myself a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide but instead am acting it out. I've got Claude the Rescue Rat in my dressing gown, doing a good imitation of a joey in the pouch. Nice to know one can bring joy and happiness to someone :-) Claude has also discovered he can put one over the Mob (my other five rats) because they're scared of the floor and he's not, possibly because he's been tossed off the furniture on to it so many times by a huffing rodent hulk. "So, nyah, you can have the chair, I've got ALL THIS."
*zonks out*
Much later in day, stirs from bed, showers, feeds beasties, watches tv...tiring stuff. I think I might have the flu. Don't actually feel too sick, more very fatigued and fuzz-headed without having done anything strenuous to cause it. Some would say the last is not actually a new symptom, but anyway, I expect to be ok in a few days.
PS. BTW. The hot water system? The fluctuating I'm working/I'm not working was caused by a massive ants nest, nay, an ants palace, built inside the tank and undisturbed probably for years. Don (landlord) thinks they'd been short-circuiting the system.
