On a more cheerful note; I'll be attending Night's Edge in Perth this weekend so will look forward to seeing various LJ and other friends there. Yes,
cheshirenoir, I have already paid :-) I'm very much looking forward to getting away from the work-home circuit for a couple of days, playing a few board games and sitting in on some panels. Perhaps there'll be a chance to play Illuminati? Hope so but I really just want to kick back in good company, a drink in hand and maybe roll a few dice.
Following this, I'll have a week off work and intend to get Frog World finished and look for some pond liner a bit cheaper than the $34 per metre stuff available at the place up the road from me. Ye gods. It'd be cheaper to get the made-up frame at that price. Anyone know where something more reasonable might be found? I'll be checking at Bunnings anyhow.
I also tried to organise an Amazon order but found that the books I wanted came from several different sellers which was apparently going to be fiddly and expensive. "A minor problem with my order" as Amazon termed it. So I think I'll wait in the hope that the American order at Fantastic Planet will eventually reach our shores!
