Pain Test

This is a test to see how badly I've cut my left index finger with the secateurs. I was cutting back one of my peppermint eucalypts; the one that moved in on top of the Albany woollybush I actually invited into the garden. Sliced the finger while reaching for an out-of-reach branch. (ouch, this does hurt). There was a surprising amount of blood; most of my wounds don't produce that much. Dripped inside, managed to clean up and apply bandages and decide I could honourably stop gardening for today. I managed to do quite a lot of pruning before the accident. Now I have M's ladder and all her gardening tools, I have pretty much everything I need. Except a trowel. I lost mine and she hung on to hers. (ok, so this hurts but I should be all right to work tomorrow.) Also I don't have a wheelbarrow, but there are differences of level in my garden from courtyard to grassed area which would involve heavy lifting with a laden barrow.

Nothing much else going on. If anybody should feel like a game of online TTR, feel free to let me know :-) I finished reading Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Prince and don't have anything else new to read at the moment.

Are your tetanus shots up to date?

Should be, from memory. I get them because every so often, since I sometimes get rescue rats, somebody bites me. The finger also bled such a lot that I figure that helped to clean it out! But I might check with the nurse-practitioner who works at the pharmacy near work. Royal Perth Hospital is also near work but I don't like my chances of an answer within ten minutes there. It is a fairly new secateurs.
