Isaiah is home

Isaiah is okay. I now have a rat with a partially shaved underside - not really a good look - but the vet got the whole tumour, which was encapsulated and easier than had been feared. He's now asleep and I'm almost that way. A couple of hours extra train travel before and after work, plus the worrying about him until the vet nurse called, will do that to you!

Oh, good news! Glad to hear he's back safe and sound, have a good worry-free night's sleep, you sound like you deserve it!

Thanks, people. The patient and I both had a good night. He hasn't bothered the stitches that I could tell. This is good because I was too tired to stay awake to stop him if he did. He's also starting to fuss about being kept in a hospital cage on his own, but he'll stay there at least until tonight when I can supervise his re-introduction to his friends. I don't want them being "helpful." Rats are.

Now, with wild weather building up outside - we had the traditional warning red sky - I'm about to go to work, while the rats go back to bed after breakfast. Something is very wrong with this dynamic!
