I'm now the proud owner of a very fancy, shiny bicycle foot pump, carried home from Subi. On the way I assisted some people with a becalmed car to push it to the nearby service station. Their Sunday was certainly more exciting than mine; they were twenty-somethings who said the car had only done it to keep them from attending the Big Day Out concert. The Japanese shop in Subi I'd meant to go to also was closed until later in the afternoon.

Three minutes after getting home, my bike tyre was restored so I'm glad it WAS only the deficiencies of the former pump.

I can't say all that has terrifically enlivened my day but it was exercise and I got to see something besides the insides of my house. I took an afternoon nap from which the JWs for once didn't awaken me and finding it still too hot, logged back on to see what excitement the rest of the flist have been up to.

My rats are asleep, usual during the day, which means they were not glaring at one another from their cages! I do hope introductions are going to be possible but since Zach (older resident) gouged Luka's back quite nastily two nights ago, they can't be allowed out together until that heals. I know this sort of thing can take weeks if it happens at all. Zach himself took 18 days to introduce to Joshua and in that case Z was much younger and also too scared to be hostile. It's only been eight days for this attempt.
