Irritations
Mar. 30th, 2022 02:34 pmIt's a day off. But. Had to call the Police Information Service to update my stolen bike report, having been informed there IS CCTV. Having navigated the minefield of their robotic option list, I sit on line for so long that it suggests calling back. High volume of non-urgent calls, it says. I decide to try texting it, since I'm giving it info, and that seemed to go through.
I'd be surprised if that helps, to be honest. They might see a person cutting the lock and taking the bike but unless that's someone known to the police, with an address known to the police, chances aren't terrific. It's not something like a violent altercation where CCTV is useful, since it shows who did what to whom. But it's something that might help.

I suppose it's money in some way. At least it sort of explains why I didn't get a rental inspection in February when it was due, not that I complained. But it's a bit more tension while I wait for instructions on where to redirect the rent.
I want to get a Tiny House. When I can get my superannuation, I can even buy one. Then I only need a location, which would still be paying rent, but much less, since all I'm buying is a parking spot and power/water access. Meanwhile, I deal with bureaucracies. Many, many small rule-ridden bureaucracies.
