Nano buzz begins
Oct. 26th, 2008 09:03 pmWent to NaNoWriMo pre-November meetup today; brain is still buzzing. I think they are all insane, self not excluded but it certainly gets one revved up to start writing. It was good to see quite an age range, from high school students to people of, well, my own vintage or thereabouts :-)
I'm not sure whether I'll get to the Nov 1 write-off but will see. Got to get through another week first. Do not feel like going to work tomorrow. I think one of the triggers for depression has to be boredom. If I've had a recent run-in with my mother, that can sometimes do it too but when I'm bored, I can feel my mind flattening out. Work does not help. Yes, sometimes a court hearing is interesting but many of the audio records could be sold as insomnia cures. The pettiness of workmates is also a nuisance right now; basically there is not much to look forward to until the end of year break begins on Christmas Eve ...
well, except Nano!
Of course, writing myself into a twitching collapse will probably help with these problems.
Luka (senior rat) isn't well again either. His lungs are rattling. If I could explain to him the association between the horrible spicy antibiotic paste and feeling better, treatment would be so much easier.
